AMARGETI EQUESTRIAN CLUB
Bedding: to avoid any foot or leg injuries, the horses stand on layer of 30 cm thick washed sweet river sand bedding. Underneath the sand bed is a 50 cm thick, gravel bed which guarantees good drainage. Riding in the summer evenings: during the summer months, to avoid the hot daytime temperatures, lessons can be given in a floodlit arena. Head Trainer: our head trainer is certified in all aspects of the Equestrian sport. Lessons will be given to all levels from beginner to expert and to all ages. Hacking: hacking in the area is fantastic and endless as the club is located in the middle of a rustic valley with gentle slopes and hills and miles of unspoilt trails which offer unique and breathtaking views. Dog Scootering & Dog Driving: Besides horse riding, we are also giving the public the chance to get familiar with Dog Scootering & Dog Driving, a very fast growing sport in the the USA & Canada with the aim to form a dog sports club. Dog Scootering is a sport where one or more dogs pull a human riding an unmotorized kick scooter. It is similar to mushing which is done in the winter with a dog sled. The dogs wear a similar harness as sled dogs and are hooked to the scooter with a gangline. The gangline incorporates a bungee to smooth out the shocks of speeding up at takeoff. Most of the same mushing commands are used, although dog scooterers tend to be more relaxed about their commands and for example sometimes use "right" and "left" instead of "gee" and "haw", and use "yaaaaaah and "gogooggo" instead. For a short intro movie clip kindly click on the following link: Dogscootering clip. Dog Driving is a very similar sport to dog scootering and can be done by people of all ages (provided the dogs are well trained and are able to follow verbal commands) The main difference with scootering is dog driving involves a dog cart or sulkie and the person sits in the cart or sulkie. As the dogs are less free than on a scooter, the challenge is to train the dogs to follow your commands so that they will go in the direction you want them to go. The Plot: the club is located on a plot of 25,000 M2 which is surrounded by a mature fruit orchard full of orange, mandarin, apple and pear trees, in the midle of the orchard, the riding arena is located.
