Odysseus's House interior
Odysseus's House interior

The tekni art retreat is situated in the village of Lemona near Paphos in Cyprus and comprises four restored stone cottages and a traditional two-storey house built around a large courtyard looking over the surrounding countryside. Odysseus’s House was built as the main dwelling in 1830 in the ‘palati’ (palace) style.

The two double bedrooms open out onto a large upstairs verandah. The Hani (Camel) House was originally used as a stable and an overnight resting place for camel trains. (With open-plan living/kitchen area, two single beds, en-suite toilet and a shower). Polyxena’s Cottage is a detached single-storey building with open fireplace, living/kitchen area and two single beds. With en-suite toilet and shower. Salome’s Cottage, which adjoins the main house, has a separate bedroom with double bed, open-plan living/kitchen area and en-suite toilet and shower. Stasis’s Cottage is a detached building just above the main site. It sleeps two and features bed/living room, separate kitchen, toilet/shower room and small courtyard.

Anastasia’s House has been converted from two traditionally built stone houses with original fireplaces, set around its own private central courtyard. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate kitchen/lounge area, and can sleep up to six. It is the biggest of the houses available at the retreat.
